University of Tokyo is still Asia's best
Japan remains best represented on Top 100 list, but China could catch up soon
[SINGAPORE] Japan's University of Tokyo has for the second consecutive time retained its crown in a ranking of Asia's top 100 universities, but universities from China and Singapore are poised to upset this in the coming years.
The National University of Singapore (NUS) was ranked second in the Asia University Rankings 2014 released this morning by Times Higher Education.
In third and fourth place were the University of Hong Kong and Seoul National University respectively; Nanyang Technological University kept its position from last year - 11th.
