Airbus hires Temasek’s Stephen Forshaw as chief representative for Australia, New Zealand

    TEMASEK executive Stephen Forshaw will be joining Airbus as the European aerospace multinational’s chief representative for Australia and New Zealand with effect from Aug 1.

    Airbus in a Friday (Jul 8) press statement said Forshaw will be responsible for representing the group at a corporate level in both countries, covering all Airbus divisions.

    Based in Canberra, the Australian citizen will report to the group’s Asia-Pacific president Anand Stanley.

    “Stephen brings significant knowledge in public affairs, communications, aeronautics and general management, as well as strong experience in the Asia-Pacific region. We look forward to him strengthening even further the wider position of Airbus in these 2 key markets (Australia and New Zealand),” said Stanley.

    Forshaw joins Airbus from Temasek where he has concurrently served as both global head of public affairs as well as managing director for Australia and New Zealand, overseeing the Singapore investment company’s investment activities and institutional relationships.

    Prior to joining Temasek, Forshaw held senior roles at Singapore Airlines and Microsoft Asia-Pacific.

    He also has experience working directly in the government with the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly, where he held several advisory roles, including chief of staff to the deputy chief minister.
