Car COE premiums edge up

Premium for motorcycles slips; car dealers attribute increases to August's smaller quota

    Singapore

    CERTIFICATE of Entitlement (COE) premiums for cars and commercial vehicles rose, while the premium for motorcycles softened.

    Category A - for cars below 1,600 cc and 130 hp - climbed S$1,201 to S$44,002, and Cat B - for cars above 1,600 cc or 130 hp - inched up S$199 to S$50,001.
