Car COE premiums soften

PREMIUMS for passenger car certificates of entitlement (COEs) softened as demand continues to be weak, according to some motor distributors.
Category A - for cars below 1,600cc or 130 hp - slipped S$1,717 to S$50,951, while Cat B - for cars above 1,600cc and 130 hp - fell S$3,205 to S$53,001.
Cat E - the open category which currently tracks Cat B - was S$1,099 lower at S$54,901.
Meanwhile, Cat D - for motorcycles - dipped S$99 to S$6,212.
Only Cat C - for goods vehicles and buses - was higher, climbing S$1,001 to S$49,002.
