Cathay Pacific H1 profit drops amid China slowdown

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong's flag carrier Cathay Pacific on Wednesday said its first-half net profit dropped 82 percent to HK$353 million (S$61.2 million) from a year earlier, amid a Chinese economic slowdown and intense competition in the industry.
The airline's revenue for the period also fell 9.3 per cent to HK$45.68 billion.
