Changi Airport ranked fourth globally for on-time performance
Singapore Airlines among top 10 Asia-Pacific carriers for on-time performance in 2014
CHANGI Airport was the fourth airport worldwide for on-time performance among large airports last year, while Singapore Airlines (SIA) ranked in the top 10 of Asia-Pacific airlines.
According to the OAG Punctuality League by analytics firm OAG, Changi Airport was fourth in the large airport category with an average on-time performance of 85.3 per cent. On-time performance is defined as flights arriving and departing within fifteen minutes of their scheduled arrival and departure times. The large airport category ranks airports which have more than 20 million scheduled seats per year.
Topping the category for large airports was Munich Airport with 89 per cent of flights arriving and departing on time. Tokyo's Haneda was in second place with 87.9 per cent and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport was third with 86.2 per cent.
