AS AT July 2017, there are about 606,000 cars on Singapore roads and the overwhelming majority are petrol-engined, with only 132 plug-in petrol-electric hybrids and 12 pure electric vehicles.
According to the Land Transport Authority, there are also two electric motorcycles, 31 electric commercial vehicles and one solitary electric bus - part of an e-bus trial being conducted here.
