Grab opens GrabTaxi driver- support centres
Singapore
GRAB on Thursday unveiled the first two of its satellite GrabTaxi driver-support centres under an ongoing commitment to serve its drivers - a move which an observer said shows the Singapore-based ride-hailing app's superior knowledge and understanding of the local market over its rival Uber.
The first of the satellite centres opened in Jurong East on Monday; the second will open next month in Bedok. Mirroring the setup in Grab's driver-support centre headquarters in Midview City in Sin Ming Lane, these centres are manned by Grab's sales and administrative staff and help taxi drivers top up their Grab mobile wallets, sign up with Grab and address any of their issues.
