LTA awards S$573m for upgrading works on North-South, East-West lines

THREE contracts to upgrade and renew the power supply and track circuit systems on the North-South and East-West MRT lines (NSEWL) have been awarded for a combined S$573 million, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced on Friday.
Japanese technology firm Meiden Singapore won two deals to upgrade and renew the power supply system on the two lines, worth a combined S$500 million.
