Lufthansa sees lower 2015 fuel bill at 5.8 billion euros
Berlin
GERMAN airline Lufthansa expects the lower price of oil to cut its fuel bill for 2015 by 13 per cent after the cost of hedging, setting it on course for a rise in profit this year.
Lufthansa said that it estimated a 2015 fuel bill of 5.8 billion euros (S$9.14 billion) against 6.7 billion euros in 2014, according to presentation slides made available on its website on Monday. Its assumptions for 2015 included a price for Brent crude of US$68 a barrel.
