Malaysia proposes making of an Asean car with Indonesia
KL also mulls over revival of programme to scrap old cars to boost Proton's prospects

MALAYSIA has embarked on two proposals that could boost the prospects of embattled car manufacturer Proton Holdings.
One, for the proposed joint development of an Asean car, was mooted by Prime Minister Najib Razak when he met Indonesia's new President Joko Widodo after the latter's inauguration in Jakarta on Monday.
