MAS names Peter Bellew as its third chief in two years
Kuala Lumpur
MALAYSIA Airlines Bhd (MAS) has promoted chief operating officer Peter Bellew to head the state-owned carrier after its former chief executive officer resigned unexpectedly.
The appointment takes effect on July 1, the airline said in an emailed statement on Thursday. Mr Bellew takes over from Christoph Mueller, who was scheduled to leave in September after completing about half of his three-year term. Khazanah Nasional Bhd, the Malaysian sovereign wealth fund, owns the carrier.
