MAS reports Q3 loss of RM375.4m
[KUALA LUMPUR] Malaysian flag carrier Malaysia Airlines has reported a loss of RM375.44 million (S$146.7 million) in the third quarter of the financial period ending Sept 30, 2013, despite expectations by some analysts that it would show a profit amid higher passenger load.
This was a huge drop from the profit of RM37 million it registered in the same period a year earlier, and came despite a 12.4 per cent improvement in revenue to RM3.9 billion from RM3.5 billion previously, the Star Online reported.
MAS's loss before tax was RM370.5 billion against RM39.1 billion previously.
