More action needed to tackle cybersecurity threat in maritime
Threat will come with progress in the Information Age, says SSA president
Singapore
WITH digital technologies proliferating in both shipping and port operations, industry players argued for more to be done to mitigate the cybersecurity threat that is looming over the promise of a digital tomorrow.
Singapore Shipping Association (SSA) president Esben Poulsson said at the inaugural Maritime Cyber Security Seminar that large and small shipping companies have already invested or are beginning to invest more and more in IT (information technology) onshore and on board ships.
