Singapore's Scoot airlines to ski into Hokkaido
Budget carrier sees move opening large volumes of travel from South-east Asia to the popular Japanese tourist destination via the Republic

ON Saturday, Singapore Airlines' low-cost carrier Scoot will inaugurate three-times-a-week flights from Singapore to Hokkaido - a move that Scoot executives say could open large volumes of travel from South-east Asia to the popular Japanese tourist destination, using Singapore as hub.
The flights (via Taipei) could also result in a significant increase in imports into Singapore of Japanese fish and other food products that are highly popular in Singapore and other parts of South-east Asia.
