Takata tumbles 25% on doubts about air-bag maker's survival

TAKATA Corp, the Japanese air-bag maker at the centre of the largest recall in automotive history, tumbled by a record 25 per cent in Tokyo trading after the loss of its biggest customer raised concerns about the company's survival.

The stock fell to close at 889 yen, sinking by its maximum permissible daily limit, on Thursday. Takata shares have fallen 35 per cent over two days, also a record.
