Thales to offer in-flight entertainment system to Garuda Indonesia
THALES has partnered with Garuda - Indonesia's flag carrier - for the first time, both companies announced at the Singapore Airshow on Tuesday.
The French aerospace company will equip 14 of Garuda's new A330neo aircraft with its AVANT in-flight entertainment system. Both companies declined to disclose the valuation of the deal.
The AVANT in-flight entertainment system, which is based on an open Android platform, promises to support multiple languages and features high-definition monitors for all passengers. Business-class passengers can also enjoy the Avii touchscreen handsets.
The announcement comes as Garuda expects to welcome a double-digit increase in passenger growth in 2018.
