Woh Hup, China Jingye Engineering win S$334m LTA contracts to build 2 stations
THE Land Transport Authority (LTA) has awarded two civil contracts for the construction of Amber and Bedok South stations along Thomson-East Coast Line (TEL), worth a combined S$334 million.
The construction of Amber station has been awarded to Woh Hup (Private) Limited at S$146 million.
The construction of Bedok South station and its associated tunnels has been awarded to China Jingye Engineering Corporation Limited (Singapore Branch), at S$188 million. China Jingye Engineering Corporation Limited (Singapore Branch) is a subsidiary of Metallurgical Corporation of China Ltd (MCC Group), which is one of the largest construction corporations in China.
The East Coast stretch of the TEL will be completed in two stages. The first seven stations from Tanjong Rhu to Bayshore will be ready in 2023, while the remaining two stations will be completed in 2024, LTA said.
