Two aspects of the Prime Minister's speech resonated strongly with me. The first was the acknowledgement of successful local startups and a renewed commitment to helping them blossom into global competitors. This aligns with SGX's role of providing companies at varying stages of development the much-needed access to global capital, thereby enabling them to overcome fund-raising constraints and continue on their growth trajectory. The second standout was his clarion call for Singaporeans to never lose their spirit of achieving, all the while retaining cognisance of their blessings. I share his wishes and am confident we will continue to remain a society uniquely proud of its ethos, but with its gaze fixated on the horizon.
