THIS WEEK'S TOPIC: Apart from Covid-related developments, what is your biggest hope (or fear) for 2022?
Victor Mills Chief Executive Singapore International Chamber of Commerce
My biggest hope for 2022 is for all of us in Singapore, and around the world, to build on one of the key lessons from the pandemic: to embrace our common humanity. This means focusing on, and leveraging, all our collective similarities as human beings even as we celebratae our individual differences. This mindset shift enables collaboration, which is the fastest way to innovate, grow and achieve solutions to climate change and other challenges. This same mindset shift is as vital for societal progress as it is for economic growth and badly needed geopolitical maturity. It is driven by consideration for others before self.
