Funds bearish on utilities and transport sector

GLOBAL mutual funds were net buyers of Singapore stocks in the three months to Jan 14. Based on the volume in the top five stocks, net buys came to S$954.3 million, compared to net sells of S$640.8 million.

This week we look at the utilities and transportation sector. For the sector, funds were bearish - net sells in the top five stocks came to S$116.2 million, compared to net buys of S$77.9 million. The top stock among the sells was Sembcorp Industries which saw a net sell volume of S$34.9 million. The top stock among the buys was Ezion Holdings, which had a volume of S$44.9 million.
