Curated travel, longevity programmes, legacy planning: How HNW individuals are reclaiming their scarcest asset – time
As affluence grows, so does the awareness of what money cannot buy. It is this tension that HSBC Life Prestige Circle was designed to address – helping high-net-worth clients protect, optimise and enrich the moments that matter most
THERE was a time when wealth was defined largely by how much you acquire. More possessions acquired, more destinations visited, more milestones achieved. But as lives become increasingly global and multi-dimensional, many high-net-worth individuals are beginning to place greater value on something less tangible: the ability to spend time intentionally.
While wealth can grow across businesses, borders and generations, time remains finite – making it the great equaliser. In this context, the ability to make the most of one’s time, to focus on the people, experiences and priorities that matter most, is emerging as a new measure of luxury in itself.
It is this shift that inspired the launch of HSBC Life Prestige Circle, a high-net-worth proposition built around three core pillars: protecting time, optimising time and enriching time – each designed to support clients across different priorities spanning wealth, well-being, lifestyle and legacy.
“Time is our most precious asset – irreplaceable and deeply personal,” says Harpreet Bindra, chief executive officer of HSBC Life Singapore.
“At HSBC Life, we believe that true wealth is not just about accumulation, but how it supports the life our clients want to live. While we cannot buy more time, we can help people make the most of it through seamless access to advisory expertise, curated experiences and wellness support, creating more time and space for the moments, relationships and aspirations that define a meaningful life.”
Protecting what matters most
The launch comes at a time when high-net-worth individuals are managing increasingly complex priorities. Business succession planning now often sits alongside multi-generational family needs, cross-border assets and overseas education planning.
At the same time, navigating these interconnected priorities can become increasingly time-consuming. According to HSBC Life’s HNW Legacy Planning: Bridging the Intentions-Action Gap report, coordinating between different advisors is a common pain point for almost seven out of 10 high-net-worth individuals in Singapore.
This growing complexity is precisely why the idea of time itself has become one of the most valuable assets wealthy individuals possess and the central idea behind HSBC Life Prestige Circle.
Through its network of partners, HSBC Life offers clients access to specialist advisory firms spanning wealth, estate planning, tax, global mobility, education and philanthropy. The aim is to provide more coordinated access to expertise, helping clients streamline complex decisions across different life stages and generations with greater clarity.
Making space for meaningful experiences
For individuals whose lives often span business, family and global commitments, travel can create opportunities for connection, renewal and discovery.
Yet, meaningful time away can also be difficult to coordinate, particularly when it involves multiple generations, varied interests and demanding schedules. HSBC Life Prestige Circle helps clients optimise time by reducing the complexity of planning and coordination, allowing clients to focus more fully on the experiences themselves.
Through a partnership with luxury travel provider Blue Sky Escapes, members can enjoy bespoke travel planning and curated experiences shaped around their interests and family priorities.
Members of HSBC Life Prestige Circle will also enjoy member-only access to local cultural experiences and wellness immersions when they stay at selected Banyan Tree Flagship Resorts.
Investing in vitality for the long term
Health and longevity form the third pillar of HSBC Life Prestige Circle. Increasingly, high-net-worth individuals are focusing on how they can maintain vitality and well-being over decades rather than simply manage illness when it occurs.
This growing emphasis is reflected in the same HSBC Life HNW Legacy Planning report, which found that wellness and healthcare have emerged as the top policy feature for legacy planning among high-net-worth individuals, with 43 per cent prioritising it.
To support this shift, HSBC Life has partnered with providers including Chi Longevity and Raffles Medical Group to help clients enrich time through healthy longevity programmes and interventions based on each individual’s health profile, risk factors and life goals, supported by health coaches.
Clients will have access to the HSBC Life Longevity Suite, housed within Chi Longevity’s luxury clinics at Camden and the Four Seasons Hotel Singapore. The dedicated space is designed to support longevity screenings and follow-up consultations.
As priorities continue to shift across wealth, well-being and legacy, HSBC Life Prestige Circle reflects a growing move towards living with greater intentionality, where making the most of one’s time may ultimately become the greatest luxury of all.
Threads of Time brings HSBC Life Prestige Circle to life
On April 29, HSBC Life Prestige Circle was unveiled through Threads of Time, an intimate launch event at CHIJMES Hall.
Set against the restored grandeur of the heritage venue, HSBC Life partnered with Phan Huy, the youngest Asian couture designer to showcase at Paris Fashion Week. During the evening, artisans hand-crafted exquisite pieces live on site, offering guests an intimate glimpse into the intricate creative process.
The evening culminated in an haute couture showcase featuring five bespoke pieces designed exclusively for the occasion.
Much like couture, where every detail is shaped through precision, patience and purpose, the showcase reflected HSBC Life’s approach towards supporting high-net-worth clients through carefully curated solutions and experiences. The event also invited guests to reflect on how time itself can be valued, protected and spent more deliberately.
“Threads of Time reflects our belief that the most meaningful things are often shaped intentionally over time,” says Harpreet Bindra, chief executive officer of HSBC Life Singapore.
“The same care and intentionality seen in couture should also shape how we approach time – not simply as something to manage, but as something to value deeply and make the most of. That philosophy underpins HSBC Life Prestige Circle and our focus on supporting high-net-worth clients more holistically across wealth, health, longevity and legacy – a focus reflected in HSBC Life being recognised as the World’s Best Insurance Provider for Wealth Management at the Euromoney Private Banking Awards 2026, and ranked the number one high-net-worth insurer in Singapore by the AFFLUENTIAL WealthLens Report 2025 for the second consecutive year.”
