Cloud computing refers to the delivery of computing services, such as processing power, storage and software applications over the internet. Compared to traditional IT infrastructure, which requires companies to purchase and install their own hardware and software on premises, cloud computing differs by hosting everything on the cloud, off premises. The cloud computing industry is a complex ecosystem of service providers that can be broken down into three main groups based on the type of services they offer:
