AROUND two decades ago, market conditions were different from what they currently are. We were on the precipice of the first systematic financial crisis, and the words “crypto” or “blockchain” would have raised a few eyebrows.
Fast-forward to 2023, and the financial world has changed dramatically. Cryptocurrencies and other digital assets are more widespread than ever, as many look to ride the crypto wave.
This makes sense, as no other asset class can claim the upswings that digital assets have – with Bitcoin’s spot price averaging an annual return of a staggering 1,576 per cent from 2010 to 2021.
