HOW safe is the euro and who will win the French presidential election? The two questions are closely related and may be answered using two methods.
Recent elections across the globe have delivered two surprising conclusions.
First, traditional polling methods seem less reliable. Few tipped a Trump win or a Brexit victory, so polls are treated with suspicion at the French election. Emmanuel Macrons' win in the first round is another example of polling failure.
