Funds buy more S'pore stocks overall

GLOBAL mutual funds bought more Singapore stocks than they sold in the three months to April 22.
Based on transactions in the top five stocks, there were S$1.36 billion worth of net buys, compared to net sells of S$1.09 billion. The most actively traded stock among the buys was SingTel with a volume of S$396.8 million. The most active among the sells was Keppel Land with a volume of S$186.1 million. This week we look into the segment of industrials stocks, excluding transportation. Here, net sells of S$154.6 million outweighed net buys of S$25.2 million, based on the top five stocks transacted.
The top stock among the sells was Singapore Technologies Engineering which saw a volume of S$100.7 million. The top stock among the buys was China Everbright Water, with a volume of S$10 million.
