Global mutual funds sell more of Singapore stocks
GLOBAL mutual funds turned bearish on Singapore stocks, selling more shares than they bought in the three months to July 8. Based on transactions in the top five stocks, net sells of S$805.7 outweighed net buys of S$613.3.
This week we spotlight the segment of stocks with market capitalisation below S$1 billion. Here there were more buys than sells, albeit on relatively low volume. There were net buys of S$66.4 million based on the top five stocks, and net sells of S$50 million.
The top stock among the buys was Yoma Strategic Holdings with a volume of S$20.1 million. The top stock among the sells was Ascendas Hospitality Trust with a volume of S$8.4 million.
