FINANCE sector stocks, deeply unloved since the 2008 financial crisis, may be in for a substantial re-rating over the next few years, says Guy de Blonay, Jupiter Asset Management (Jupiter AM) fund management director.
The expectation of a turnaround in the sector is driven by the likelihood of higher US interest rates, coupled with the likely economic agenda of president-elect Donald Trump who has indicated lower corporate taxes and a lightening of tough regulation on banks.
