More sells than buys in Singapore stocks

GLOBAL funds continued to sell more stocks than they bought in the Singapore market in the three months to Nov 30.
Based on the top five stocks transacted, there were net sells of S$1.57 billion, compared to net buys of S$861.2 million.
This week we look into the segment of basic materials and energy stocks. Volume was thin in this segment; there were net sells of S$26.7 million compared to net buys of S$2.7 million. The top stock among the sells was First Resources Ltd with a volume of S$20.9 million. The top stock among the buys was K1 Ventures with a volume of S$1.6 million.
