More sells than buys of S'pore stocks

GLOBAL mutual funds sold more Singapore shares than they bought in the three months to Oct 7. Based on transactions in the top five stocks overall, there were net sales of S$826.7 million compared to net purchases of S$594.5 million.

This week we look into the segment of industrial stocks excluding transportation. Here, there were net sells of S$131 million compared to net purchases of S$11.1 million, based on the top five stocks.

The top stock among the sells was Venture Corporation with a volume of S$83 million. The top stock among the buys was China Everbright Water Ltd with a volume of S$5.3 million.
