AFTER 2 years marked by disruption, loss, 'circuit breakers' and start-stop reopenings, with some luck we believe 2022 will be the year we gradually reacquaint ourselves with how our lives were like before Covid-19.
All this might seem unlikely at the moment as news of the Omicron variant has caused some disruptions. But above all, it is still early days, and we will not know for sure how this strain will develop until more data is analysed.
But there are a few crucial factors that will make the emergence of Omicron different from the initial outbreak in 2020.
