Passion investing, while commendable, can be detrimental to investors

SETH Holehouse, who owns an auction house in New York City, has focused his investments on renewable energy and recycled products for the last five years - despite steadily losing money on the strategy.
"I'd like to say that it's been phenomenal," said the chief executive and co-founder of Fortuna Auctions, which specialises in estate jewelry. "But it hasn't been great overall."
