Playing the structured products game
ONE of the ways in which investors can express a currency view is through structured products. These usually come in the form of investment notes, with derivatives embedded in them.
These derivatives allow issuers to customise the products to allow a defined exposure over a preset investment term. Typically there is a defined payoff for the investor.
The structured products are characterised by a risk level. Aligning the product with the clients' investment objectives and risk profile is a must.
