Positioning portfolios amid the energy transition

THIS year could prove to be pivotal in the transition from fossil fuels to renewables with policymakers, businesses and investors visibly accelerating commitments to bring greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to net zero by 2050. Technological advancements are poised to accelerate this transition, by reducing and in some cases eliminating, the cost difference between renewable energy solutions and conventional technologies.
The transition to net zero is particularly important for Asia, as many of its population, economies and communities are vulnerable to the effects of climate change.
