SUSTAINABLE investing, or the consideration of environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors alongside with financial analysis in the investment process, has attracted significant interest in recent years.

The numbers speak for themselves. According to the 2020 Global Sustainable Investment Review, sustainable investing assets under management (AUM) exceeded US$35 trillion globally - a 15 per cent increase compared with two years ago, and making up about 36 per cent of global AUM.

More than 2,700 asset owners, fund managers and financial institutions have also become signatories to the United Nations' (UN) Principles of Responsible Investment (PRI), demonstrating their commitment to include ESG factors in their investment decision-making.
