DBS Vickers has signed up every year for the BT Corporate Golf League since it started back in 2010 for a number of reasons which includes "great organisation", according to team captain Leonard Lui. "We get to play the best courses in Singapore. The organisation is superb and it's a great event to socialise in. We get to meet up with old friends, in a competitive environment," he explains.

In addition to Mr Lui (handicap 16), the team consists of Lim Kok Ann (13), Henry Lim (17), Eugene Png (13), Frankie Lim (13) and Poh Koon Kiat (13). The team has got off to a flying start, achieving the highest score of 105 on count back during the second round at Tanah Merah Country Club's Tampines Course, which propelled them to third on the table. While they have yet to win the League, DBS Vickers has performed well each year, finishing 15th in 2010 out of 25 teams, 10th in 2011, 9th a year later and sixth last year in Category A. While Mr Lui believes that SunMoon and SPH Sultans of Swing are the teams to watch this year, his team will aim to finish in the top half of the table. Ahead of next week's third round at Tanah Merah Country Club's Garden Course, Mr Lui says: "We will go out to enjoy the game and the course, and to make new friends and if we play well, then it's a bonus."
