Muscling onto a bigger stage
VICTOR Cui and the rest of his team at One Fighting Championship (One FC) are busy racking up the frequent flyer miles more than ever these days. Having entrenched its reach across most of South-east Asia for the better part of the last three years, the Singapore-based mixed martial arts (MMA) organisation is now making inroads into at least four new major markets.
Apart from getting set to make its debut in Cambodia in September, One FC will first visit the Middle East for the first time with a show at the Dubai World Trade Centre in the United Arab Emirates on Aug 29.
Also on the cards is a plan to stage ten shows across multiple cities in China over a two-year period starting in the later part of this year, making it the first MMA organisation to hold such events on the mainland.
