THE SPH team again came out swinging strongly in Round 2 of this year's Business Times Corporate Golf League, scoring 104 (the second highest of the round) to lead the competition.
League defending champions Team SunMoon are in second; DBS Vickers jumped into third place with the highest score for Round 2, while The Crane Boomers (Tat Hong) continued to perform strongly with a 103 to be in fourth position ahead of Team Emerio in fifth. Rounding out the remainder of the top 10 are Audi quattro, Team Citi, Bank of Singapore (OCBC), Team KPMG and Team Boustead.
SPH Sultans of Swing co-team captain Martin Boey was understandably buoyant after his team's performance. "I told them just to have fun. We are the Sultans of Swing and we swing like Sultans and are very passionate. We did what we were supposed to do and I'm very proud," he said. The team consisted of Adrian Tan, Chris Chiu, Daphne Tay and Steven Lim, with the best gross scores coming from Ms Tay (92) and Mr Lim (85). Mr Boey added: "For the rest of the rounds, I want them to keep happy and relaxed and let the swing do the job."
