Point And Shoot
Whether you prefer a smartphone or a DSLR camera to take pictures, as long as you're a photo buff, you have to be at the second edition of Leica Playground. The one-day only affair has photography workshops, art installations, an exhibition featuring the work of magnum photographer Thomas Hoepker and music performances. For watch connoisseurs, there's a workshop on how to take stunning photos of luxury timepieces in a professional set up with studio lights and lifestyle props. Taught by well-known watch photographer Tom Chng, you can shoot your own timepieces at the workshop. Check out another class by cocktail mixologist and composer Andrew Lum who will share his skills in shooting Macallan whisky, including how to light up the bottles and selection of lenses.
Leica Playground is on Oct 5, from 10am to 9pm at Design Orchard, 250 Orchard Road. Admission to the event is free and workshops are priced at S$15. More details at leicaplayground.sg.
