Dawn Bey, founder of print and textile studio Minor Miracles, isn't just a good fashion designer, she's a savvy entrepreneur too. "Retail rent in Singapore is too high for us to own a shop, but we've found the next best solution," says Ms Bey, who runs the business with her husband Jason Song.

Since 2019, the couple have been living and working at 87 Jalan Kelabu Asap, a rented 1960s terrace house at Chip Bee Gardens. They converted the first floor into a studio and retail space for Minor Miracles, which carries womens' and kids' wear and lifestyle accessories. Their 'home' is on the second floor, with one bedroom turned into a workshop space, while the other two are a living room and the couple's bedroom respectively.
