Special Feature: A New Era of Hospitality
Orchard Hotel Singapore spares no expense to redefine the guest experience.
FROM ITS HUMBLE beginnings as a four-storey hotel in the late 50s to 60s - drawing love birds to its popular tea dances and nurturing emerging musicians of the era - to its urban, sophisticated twin towers of modern hospitality today, Orchard Hotel Singapore has always kept in step with the evolving needs of its guests.
With the latter's growing appetite for luxury, experiential yet refined dining and accommodation options, the hotel has just unveiled the results of a multimillion dollar, nine month mission to redefine the entire guest experience. True to its rich history and location in Singapore's iconic Orchard Road shopping belt, it doesn't just boast the hardware of an international standard luxury hotel but the software that reflects both its local and Asian heritage.
Nowhere is that more clear than in The Orchard Cafe, a favourite among Singaporean and foreign guests for its garden-inspired decor and Signature Class buffet showcasing heritage-inspired creations and chef-curated classics. It continues at Bar Intermezzo with its contemporary interiors and botanical-influenced cocktails that reflect Orchard Road's past. Not to mention Cantonese fine dining stalwart Hua Ting Restaurant which was also given its own extensive makeover in 2018.
