Covid vaccine: The corporate strategy

Why should people managers care about different approaches to Covid-19 vaccine distribution around the world?

    Published Thu, Apr 8, 2021 · 09:50 PM

AS vaccines for Covid-19 are approved, distributed and administered around the world, the role of employers in encouraging and supporting vaccine uptake is becoming more complex and nuanced.

Some countries are forging ahead while others are falling behind, and each country has outlined different areas and guidelines for private companies to get involved. Indonesia and the Philippines, for example, have allowed private companies to purchase vaccines to inoculate their staff, while the public healthcare system is driving inoculation efforts in Singapore and other parts of South-east Asia.

Furthermore, the advent of new variants is creating uncertainties around how effective some vaccines will be in the long-term.
