HSBC appoints Aaron Chiew as head of platform product management for global commercial banking
HSBC Bank on Wednesday (Mar 2) announced its appointment of Aaron Chiew as the head of platform product management, global commercial banking.
Chiew will join the company on Mar 7 and will be based in Singapore. He will report to the global head of platforms, Aman Narain.
"Chiew brings significant experience and energy to this role as well as a passion and a long track record for developing customer-centric products that drive user growth," Narain said.
Chiew will join from UOB, where he headed the mobile and digital team. He led the development of UOB's digital bank TMRW, as well as payments and mobile solution UOB Mighty.
Additionally, Chiew had previously worked at Standard Chartered for 7 years as the head of product engineering and covered wholesale, private and retail digital platforms.
He currently chairs the Singapore Association of Banks industry domestic and cross-border payment programmes and API market. He has also been involved in similar initiatives with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and regulators around the region.
HSBC said Chiew will work closely and collaborate with several teams in the bank to build up its platform capabilities.
