Showing extraordinary leadership in 2025 – mental health and the inclusive workplace
THE results from the recently released Public Attitudes Study by the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) are worrying. Almost 2,000 Singapore residents without disabilities were polled on how they viewed people with disabilities (PWDs) in areas such as education, employment and public access.
Conducted in 2019 and 2023, it showed that positive sentiments towards PWDs have declined in Singapore, mainly due to attitudes at the workplace.
In 2023, although 68.9 per cent of individuals here held a positive attitude towards PWDs, this was a significant fall of almost eight percentage points from 76.8 per cent in 2019.
