The business continuity plan for 'endemic as usual'

While the transition will not require much change in our daily lives, businesses will need to make significant changes in their current operations and processes to facilitate this shift.

    LAST month, Singapore's authorities announced a change in the national strategy for managing the Covid-19 pandemic: the virus is showing strong signs that it would become endemic, and we must learn to live with it.

    With the emergence of new variants and rising vaccination rates across the world, the "zero-Covid" strategy is proving to be unsustainable, as prolonged border closures and restrictions are undermining the recovery of economic activities. Instead, adopting an "Endemic Model" approach would allow the economy, business activities, and the nation's borders to open up, even as Covid-19 persists in our society.
