UOB keeps finance tailored for women

Financial inclusion for females is one gain; the other is in keeping data tidy for amped-up analytics.

    DO THE men still not get it? UOB still thinks it wise, and has stuck to its guns on keeping a suite of products meant to target women's spending patterns and their financial needs.

    It has been a long game to play - the bank introduced Asia-Pacific's first Lady's Card some three decades ago. But the new world of data analytics has fuelled the strategy further.

    UOB has strictly kept the card available for those who identify themselves as female, even though shopping online or dining out is hardly restricted to women.
