Women are a powerful asset in business

Firms with greater influence of women in the C-suite are more profitable, socially responsible and provide safer, better customer experiences

WANT to make your business both more progressive and less risk-seeking? Add women to the C-suite. And if you already have one or two, add some more. The Harvard Business Review (HBR) did an extensive study of the impact of having women in the C-Suite on a company's decision making, both whether it was better or worse and whether it made them more or less risk-seeking. They concluded that firms with a substantial influence of women in the C-suite are more profitable, more socially responsible and provide safer, higher quality customer experiences. Sounds too good to be true? But it is true, and it is a bonus every company will welcome.

    Women collaborate with men

This extensive study is a must-read for any board concerned about appointing more or - in some cases - any women to C-suite jobs. In all the jobs I have done, from my first 16 years in advertising to my last 30 years with Terrific Mentors International, I have always understood that women don't compete with men, they collaborate with them and supplement their assets.
