    THERE is a lot of buzz about artificial intelligence (AI) in the media at the moment, but the software is not actually new.

    AI has been in use by businesses – especially those working with software – for many years. Many products are built with AI as the very basis of their platforms so in that context, they are not new. But Generative AI (GenAI) tools such as ChatGPT and others have popped up over the past year or two, and has generated more public interest now.
