Don’t let yourself be crippled by your non-compete clause
It’s definitely worth looking at the one you may have in your employment contract to see if it can even be enforced.
LAST week, we learned that the US moved to ban companies from putting non-compete clauses into their employment contracts.
While still at the proposal stage by the US Federal Trade Commission (FTC), it has been lauded by US President Joe Biden, known to be a generally pro-union and pro-worker leader throughout his political career.
Experts there project a US$300 billion uplift in annual wages after the rule is passed, too.
