CHRISTMAS Day was a week ago, and chances are you might have attended an office party or two. And if you opted to work through the year end, you might also have seen your colleagues at the office a fair bit.

Christmas also happens to be a season of gift giving — which, if you don’t happen to be the type who enjoys doing that, especially in the context of the workplace, may bring on varying degrees of stress.

While I have always been quite an outgoing person who strikes up fast friendships at work quite easily, the pandemic (and, okay, becoming a mom) has made me more of a wild Pokémon sighting at the office than that friendly colleague who has a good conversation to have with everyone.
